NewPace Technology Development Inc., a professional software engineering company headquartered in Canada, has received orders from two of Europe’s leading telecommunications companies for its Rich Communication Service (RCS) solutions.
Nokia, a leading manufacturing of mobile handsets, has selected NewPace rcsTestConnect as a testing platform for its RCS-e compatible handsets. Nokia conducted a review of available rich communication platforms and selected NewPace’s rcsTestConnect to support its development team.
Nokia is the latest company to be added to NewPace’s growing list of RCS client vendors and test houses that utilize the rcsTestConnect platform to develop their RCS products and services. rcsTestConnect allows vendors to conduct testing against an operating RCS platform without the need to work in a live RCS enabled network. This allows vendors to increase their speed to market for RCS devices and related products.
NewPace has also just completed a contractual agreement with a major European Operator who will use NewPace’s rcsCloudConnect, the details of which will be announced later by that operator. The NewPace rcsCloudConnect product allows mobile operators to deploy rich communication services, including Chat, Group Chat, File Transfer, Presence, Video and Voice Calling to their customers through a hosted solution. rcsCloudConnect was the first hosted RCS service to receive the GSMA “Accreditation Ready” designation, which was awarded in May 2013.
“The two commitments from notable companies demonstrates that our rcsConnect products are on track with industry requirements,” explains Brent Newsome, President and CEO of NewPace. “We firmly believe that RCS will change the way we communicate. The movement we have seen from operators and handset manufacturers towards implementation indicates a real desire for innovation in mobile communications.”
